oh. my. god.
2009.
is coming.
in less than 48 hours.

lots of things have changed since last year.
i didn't cut my hair as much.
i didn't study as much.
but i still disappoint my mom and dad as much.

i learned a lot of things in 2008.
that life really is what you make it to be.
i learned to trust people more.
after being disappointed so badly in '07, i felt like there was no point in even trying to make the best out of 08.
i stopped caring for a while, got angry at God for a while, but then, it just stopped.
cause i learned it's important to let go.
to let go of all the past memories, troubles, cause more often than not, it is only holding you back.
walked a step towards the person i really want to be.
i started being my own role model.
i made a huge decision to cut people out of my life.
people that aren't there for me through everything life may bring.
people, although they're nice, aren't what i'm looking for in a friendship.
i learned to make friends for life.
but still, the one thing i have yet to learn is to love like i've never been hurt.
and last, but definitely not least,
i learned, that some people are there for you to love, some are there for you to need, but most importantly some are there to teach you a lesson.

in a way, i changed a lot this past year..
i matured. i guess.
even in my oversize-t-shirt-and-no-pants-wearing phase, i am maturing.
if it wasn't for the friends that i have, i will be nowhere near where i am now.
so thanks.
and also to the dear Lord who has been so patient with me over these years..
i thank you.

my official list of new year resolution
1. got into a good school, whether it's in s'pore or in sydney
2. be a better daughter, sister, and friend.
3. curse less. and i mean waaaaay less.
4. pray more.
5. most of all, love more.

I count the steps, the distance to the time when it was me and you,
So far gone,
Another face, another friend, another place, another end.
But I'll play on
And it's a winding road, and it's a long way home.
So don't wait for someone will tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of tonight
Here comes the rest of our lives..
