Awesome Finds.

I have been enjoying holiday bliss since yesterday and it has been awesome.
I have been scouring everywhere for things i can do/read during the holiday, so here they are:

1. thebeautydepartment.com
the girls behind thebeautydepartment
It's a site run by Lauren Conrad, Kristin Ess, and Amy Nadine. Basically, it covers all of your how-to's from hair-dying, nail-polishing, sewing, and other crazy stuff.
One of my favorite things they did was this wavy hair tip:

As I was trying to copy Fearne Cotton's look

LOOK HOW PRETTY IT IS!!!!
2. Yogurberry

This has been the highlight of my holiday so far.
Basically, it's a frozen yoghurt shop in Eastwood (north part of Sydney)
And you make your own yoghurt and put your own toppings on them and they WEIGH them.
And it's super cheap! 20 cents for 10 grams?

this cost me $5
Also, they have super nice flavors like Taro, Strawberry, Mango, Green Apple, Passionfruit and Plain.

3. DIY Cushion Case Tutorial

If you're like me, then you'll know just how tempting a trip to the IKEA fabric store is.
They have super cute stuff like you just wouldn't believe
And more often than not, I will just buy 2 or 3 of them (1 meter will coss about 4.99 - 9.99)
to make a cushion cover.
I am in a process of making new ones for my couch, will update more on that!

You can find the tutorial I use here

4. Strawberries!

Spring is coming, and Strawberry season is upon us!
I have been OD-ing on Strawberries ever since they were on sale for $1.60 a punnet.

I have been putting them on my raisin toast, my smoothies..

You can find more recipes on healthy smoothies here

BLOHG.

WHOAAA.
such a boring day.
was eating caramel puff when suddenly mother called and say
"go to the office. NOWWW."
me: "why?"
mother: "you didn't sign the visa paper!!!!" she sounds like godzilla most of the time.
So i ran. and put ALL of the remaining caramel puff into my mouth :(
its a sad sad day.
i usually eat them slowly.
*sigh*
and when i was like just 15 minutes away from her office.. (mind you her office is 45 minutes away)
she called in "turns out i'm wrong. you can go back home now."
DFGsdlgsdaf/;SDFHG;SDFHGSDF;.

anyway.
damned if you do and damned if you don't.
i bought a leave-in conditioner from the body shop

the leave-in conditioner.

and when i bought it i thought "what the hell is an amlika?"
and THEN when i got home, i tried it on and i thought
"WHAT THE FRICKIN **** **** *** IS that smell?"
and then i just realised, it's the freakin amlika.
AND i just googled it.
and it's tamarindus indica.
LATIN FOR ASAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM.
like who the **** wants their hair smelling SOUR?!
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?!!?!?!!?
i shall save the earth in other ways. other than buying weird smelly products from TBS.
but YES. i cannot argue the fact that they make your hair soft and shiny.
AND SMELLY. :D

if you still want to hug trees, and save earth though
buy THIS.

it smells like ice cream
and you can use them before blow drying
so that your hair isn't terribly DAMAGED.

i think i am having a headache from the smell of my own hair.
:((

ANYWAY ANYWAY ANYWAY.
jah.
i am so deserving of a nonfat green tea latte right now.
:( why don't they have delivery or something?
OH RIGHT.
forgot to tell you.
although by buying body shop, you help the people in brazil/india/thirld world countries
and you're trusting mother nature on giving you your so called natural beauty
all of their products contains PARABEN.
(thank God for OPRAH right?)
which is, some scientists say plays a role in breast cancer.
factories put paraben in a whole lot of products.
(you can look for them NOW! they don't just put paraben in, they named it ethyl paraben, methyl paraben, butyl paraben.. and so on..)
other products i found paraben in are clear shampoos, mark and spencer's soaps, and body lotions, and still a whole lot more.
i'm like SHOCK!?
and will look for healthier products once i finished the ones i have now :)
