Super tired from mentoring in uni, working ( IAM NOW WORKING! )
and well..Catching up with uni stuff.

Anyway,I finished my assignment today (YAY!)
and am taking this time to reminisce about the awesomeness that is SKINS.
!!!!!

Everyone SHOULD watch this tv show.
It is 2438640340 times better than Gossip Girl or any other TV shows you may have seen.
Guaranteed.
The first series has basically the best character I've seen in TV that is Tony Stonem.
He is every bit of the genius, manipulative guy I have ever seen and I LOVE HIM.
Anyway, the show has awesome music as well, I have known at least 15 bands from watching the show.

It's HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER Season 7 Premiere!!!!!!

I am super excited.

They had a back-to-back episodes, and I think it was exceptionally nice.

I miss Ted and Robin and Lily and Marshall and Barney. Especially Barney.

So this season opener brings us the shock that is Barney's wedding in the upcoming future.

Last season, (season 6) lacked that something that all the previous seasons had,

and there, Ted said to Robin:

"...I used to believe in destiny, you know? I go to the bagel place see a pretty girl in line, reading my favorite novel, whistling the song that's been stuck in my head all week. I feel like I have changed. A lot. I feel like it is getting harder to be happy, to trust people, and just to enjoy life. There are so many things to worry about.

I used to believe that when I see someone, I see that he/she is a great friend, and now when I see new people I just know that he/she is going to be disappointing/liars/whatnots.

And the point is, all of us have lost our beliefs in things, whether it's love, other people, or the newspaper, or <insert thing here>

And it's not hard to feel lonely when you alienate yourself from all of these people.

And I don't know :(

I am in a rut.I went to Conception Day on Friday.
It was awesome. Pics coming up.
The heat was insane.
Seeing dozens of people dancing to dubstep in your uni is really weird, though.
I went to Glebe Market on Saturday morning, and got myself a vintage dress for the price of $10.Great bargain :D
Anyway, not much of an update today.Just wanted to share with you an excerpt of a book I just read.

I know the name of this post is sorta kinda lame.
But yes! I bleached my hair on Friday night.
Out of the fear of a quarter life crisis --" and boredom.
Anyway, I used L'oreal Perfect Blonde Highlighting Kit.

And on Saturday, I went to Bondi Junction.
Was such a nice Saturday :)
Had nachos while the boyfriend got him some laksa

Went to Lush, because Steven wanted to get some cleansers.
Okay, I forced him to get the cleansers lol
We got the Coalface
It's supposed to be really good for oily, pimply skin, and best of all, it's all organic.
The super nice girl at the counter even gave us some samples for their moisturizers.

Went to Max Brenner to get my chocolate fix lol
I got Max's White Chocolate Chai that came with the special red glass.

Overall, I'm quite happy with how the bleach turns out.
My hair doesn't feel that damaged so meh :/

Birthday Post pt. 2

Part 2 of the Birthday post.
Had brunch on the day at Le Monde in Surry Hills.
My face was really puffy that day, I'm guessing it's due to the lack of sleep and what not :/
Anyway, I had the Salsa-Avocado-Sourdough thing and a latte :)

And after brunch, we went to go sightseeing.
This is by far one of the nicest beach in Sydney (in my opinion).

So that's all for now lol.

to Ombre or Not to Ombre?

Should I ombre my hair or not? :/
So basically, ombre hair is basically when your hair color gradually changes from dark to light.
The dark part of your hair should be on top and the tips should be light.

You get the idea.

Today, my mother asked me to cut my hair,
And I looked in Google for inspiration.
I found Daisy Lowe's pictures.
And I think she might just be the best looking person EVER.
I would KILL to have hair like her. It's strangely beautiful, and dark, and wavy, and messy all at the same time.
And I sorta kinda have a girl crush on her.
From the way she dresses, to her hair, to her choice of boyfriends (Mark Ronson IS pretty), she embodies awesomeness.

Which reminds me,
I used to have this obsession with Alexa Chung
And I cut my super long hair due to this phase.

And also, Mae Whitman.
Which stars in Parenthood a.k.a. my most favorite TV Show currently.
AND also the Perks movie with Emma Watson and Logan Lerman.
Now I don't know bout everyone else, but when I read the book, I think of Logan being Charlie and Mae being Mary-Elizabeth. And now that I think of it, Emma for Sam isn't a bad choice after all.

So anyway, this post has no point whatsoever.
I thought I'd just like to share :D
Anyway, I have applied for jobs in Jay Jays, DIVA, Cotton On, Boost Juice, and Sumo Salad.

Just got back home from meeting high school friends.
Super nice.
Because the last time we met was 6 months ago.
Went to have lunch and dessert.
It is crazy to see how things change.
We used to talk about normal things when we hang out, like boys, school, and stuff.
Nowadays, it's more of what's your future plan, how much does an accountant make for a month, blah blah blah.
It's crazy to think that maybe 6-10 years down the road we'll be asking where do you buy your baby's diapers.
TOO SOON, i think.
I used to think that I will never get married and thus, never have any children, EVER.
But to say that you will never do something in your life is limiting your possibilities.
This is all because of a book synopsis that I read,
the book is called The Realm of Possibilities by David Levithan.The synopsis is:

"Here’s what I know about the realm of possibility—
it is always expanding, it is never what you think it is. Everything around us was once deemed impossible. From the airplane overhead to the phones in our pockets to the choir girl putting her arm around the metalhead.

Gives me chills.

Old habits.

Finally had a chance to write in this baby.
I know I have been neglecting this blog quite a bit, but I'm trying to be better at this.
Well I just finished reading Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
I have been wanting to read this book ever since I finished reading Nothing Feels Good by Andy Greenwald, and that was way back in year 2006.
Time flies.
I finally got the chance to read it and I felt like it was a good decision to not read it until now.
Like I wouldn't be able to appreciate it if I were to read it when I was 15 lol.

A couple of my favourite quotes:
1. "So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be."
2. "And she kissed me. And it was the kind of kiss that I could never tell my friends about out loud. It was the kind of kiss that made me know that I was never so happy in my whole life."
3. "I just wish that God or my parents or Sam or my sister or someone would just tell me what's wrong with me. Just tell me how to be different in a way that makes sense. To make this all go away. And disappear. I know that's wrong because it's my responsibility, and I know that things get worse before they get better because that's what my psychiatrist says, but this is a worse that feels too big."

When I was reading the book, I felt like I was being introduced to this person who was going through exactly what I am going through.
Who was feeling as awkward and as out of place as I am.
Who was incapable of processing all of this things that he was feeling.
And that makes me incredibly sad.
The fact that I can relate to a boy who is deemed a wallflower makes me sad.
I just felt like I wasn't participating in life like the way he wasn't participating in life. And I felt that this is all going too fast.
I felt like I have not made mistakes that was worthy of being told to people.
I felt like I just want to have more time to process everything.
I don't know what everything is, but I felt like there are a lot of things.

Yesterday I found out one of my favorite junior high school teacher passed away.
I was shocked at first and then I just felt sad.
Sad because I just realized that all the high school and junior high experience are now memories. And that I couldn't keep every memory I have. That they all will be gone and be replaced with new memories.
They have been memories for a long time but I just realized that now.
And that's how detached I am to everything.
And I don't know maybe I'm just sad today.
But right now, all I can think of is just jumping off a cliff, and that 6 seconds jump is going to be the first 6 seconds of my life, and I will be fine.
But like I said, maybe I'm just sad today.

I finished my exam yesterday.
I did great, I like to think
But then again it's statistics exam.
And my tutor sometimes like to blame us for technical stuffs and blah blah.
Well anyway, keeping my head up.
Today is my one year anniversary with dearest boyfriend.

So I guess I'll have to wait another day.

and Darth Vader himself, a.k.a. Jim Farmer was standing next to me and I was like lsdfldlhfd.
Then suddenly, Darth Vader walked away.
And I swooped my earphones and then the music stopped.
Who says cavalry's dead?

I just went home from the gym.
I did a 40 minutes jog on the treadmill.
20 minutes on the stair master thingy.
and an hour of weight lifting.

I did all 5 sets x 8 reps (lol a little overboard i know but i feel guilty of ditching gym for 2 days)
of the abductor and the adductor machine, both on 50 pounds or 23 kilos.
This exercise is usually the one I go to immediately after cardio because I have this gigantic inner thighs, so yeah. The abductor one exercises the inner thighs. and the adductor one exercises the outer thighs.

Also I did about 4 sets x 8 reps on the leg extension machine.
Which looks like this.

Feels like hell if you do it straight after the abductor and the adductor machine.
I usually get a bottle of water and play some game on my iPhone before I do this
and yeah. 15 pounds or 20 I guess. I forgot --"
This is for your Quadriceps? I guess. I wiki-ed. It's the muscle in the front of your legs.

and I did 4 sets x 8 reps on the lat machine.
Which i think is such a good exercise for your biceps and back area, I THINK.

But I don't pull it to the front of my body like in the picture.
I just pull it to the back.
Because I feel more pain on my back when I do so.
HAHAHA. and I have this theory, that if you're doing exercise, the more pain you feel, the better it is. LOL I should be falling down on a treadmill then HAHAHA *touch wood*

and I do like about 60? crunches HAHAHA. that's all i can manage.
On this weird ab machine.

And then like about 3 sets x 8 reps on the back extension machine.

Also, I did like 4 x 8 on the dorsal machine.

Its for your back.
I do a lot of back exercises cos I slump when I stand.
Hopefully this will help.

Oh God.
My body's all sore from the yoga today.
It's INSANE
and I know most of the people will say like "it's Yoga, how much pain can it bring you?"
And i will tell you.
A LOT.

Started off with simple basic moves.
The downward facing dog, which is like this:

Which is fine. Until the teacher told you to put your heels on the floor
And then you feel excruciating pain from your calves up.
Cos I always do it the beginner's way.
Which is like a bit of tip-toe-ing on the mattress.

And then we got the Cobra pose.
Which looks like this:

Which until yesterday I thought was a cute pose.
Cause you can be all Superman-like and shit.
But then the instructor told us to do a Baby Cobra pose.
I thought like what the fuck.
Then it turns out, you have to lift your body from the mattress, until the thighs are not touching the mattress.
I had a synchronized "what the fuck" moments with another girl.
She was like "what the" and I completed the moment with the "fuck"
GAH.
I thought Baby Cobra was supposed to be cute and stuff.
So all of you who are reading this.
Do NOT be deceived by the cutesy name.
Cause the baby cobra is even more scary than the Cobra itself.
Anyway yeah.

I just got home from the gym.
And seriously, the US SKINS have pretty sick music.
Like the opening by 3D Friends called Lina Magic
and their promo music by a band called Sleigh Bells named Kids.
And I'm just like so baffled by the American press, calling it "the most dangerous tv show for kids"
First of all, it's not for kids. You're supposed to be like 16/17 to watch it and people aren't just gonna do things they see on TV, well that's if they're not stupid.
ANYWAY!
OFF TO IMPORTANT THINGS.

It seems that there are people in this world, walking, living, breathing people who seems to have a kin of hating other people?
And this post right here is to summarize reasons why someone may hate you, and what you should do to fight back?

Reason:
They hate you for your awesomeness.
And yes, I am awesome, thank you for noticing. Some people just can't handle how awesome you are. It's just like in the bible, Jesus is hated by people who can't stand how awesome his turning-water-to-wine ways.
OKAY. Maybe you're not as awesome as Jesus. But it's a good example? :D
Sometimes people are just jealous. To see how someone's life can turn to be so wonderfully laid out in front of them, while theirs... well, crumble.
Should you be offended? NO.
You should take this as a form of flattery, and understand that your awesomeness is an acquired taste, and not everyone can understand.
Specifically, dumb people. Yes.

These people, are the kind of people that have too much free time on their hands.
Better yet, they just simply don't know how to make use of their free time.
And that cause even more failures in their lives.

So, you ask: What to do oh great awesome Thania?
Okay first of all, you should say to yourself and to the offender
"Bitch, I'm not conceited I'm just awesome."
And pat yourself on the back for being awesome.
There's no sin in being the great legendary awesomeness of yourself

Like Nelson Mandela once said, "You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. "

You should all shine.
And those people who hate hopefully will see that he or she also can shine.
And reach their own potential and be the light that they were set out to be.
Also, you should all set out to follow Ron Burgundy played by the uber-talented Will Ferrell who once said "I'm pretty much a big deal"
Because you are.
In the words of a Loreal. "Because you're worth it"

Haters gonna hate.
And that's what they do.
The biggest revenge is to fulfill your potential and shine.
And be all that you can be.
And he or she will see the truly awesome you and look at their pathetic selves and said "what the fuck happened."
And probably they will be better as well.

So the next time you see them, shrug them off, smile and walk away :)
Because if anything, they're not even in the same level of greatness that you're in.

Been going to the gym since last week.

My last post have been so random I know
But yeah, my life's been pretty much random lately.

There are days where I want to just run to the beach.
And just lay there.
For hours and hours and hours.
And never get sick of the waves. Of the sun. Of the sand. Of the sea.

And there are days where I just want to hide.
Inside my bedroom. Under my blanket. Curtains closed.

For hours and hours and hours.
And just get sick of everything and anything.

Serious entry today.
Okay not really serious hahaha.
I just left the boyfriend at the airport for him to go back to Jakarta.
*Insert sad face*
Anyway.
I just remembered something.
Do you know how in entertainment parks they'll take a photo of you when you're riding the rides?
I just had those rides back in Hong Kong and I remembered saying to my sister to smile.
Because the photo's gonna look nicer if we're smiling. Right?

But the thing is, the photo is like taken at the most absurd timing.
Like after the big jump, or after the moment you almost wanted to throw up, or the moment a flash of light just blinded you and shit like that right?
And no matter how you prepare for the big moment of the photo being taken,
you will look like crap 99.999% of the times?

Well it's kind of like life.
You just try and try and try and try so hard to succeed in things
But 99.9999% you'll end up failing.
Okay, well maybe it;s not 99.9999% it's like 56.75% of the times you'll fail, (I made up the statistics by the way LOL)

And then after times and times of failing,
Suddenly you succeed!
Life is on your side once again.
And then you just smile. After the big jump, or after the moment you almost wanted to throw up, or the moment a flash of light just blinded you and shit like that right?
Cause if you weren't prepared to smile when times were rough..
Your smile's not gonna be perfect when the time is right.
And it doesn't look good, right?
And here comes the old saying:
"The world always looks brighter from behind a smile."
And that's what I'll be doing more in 2011 hopefully.
Because if everything in your life sucks but you're smiling,
When you look back on it, you won't remember the shit that happened.
(Okay you probably will.)
But you'll also remember that you smiled..

It's the 3rd day of the new year and I haven't got a list of resolutions yet.
What better time to do it now I guess.
Well for starters,

1. Go to the beach more often.

Maroubra Beach

I love the beach. More than mountains, hills, desserts, caves (who the fuck loves caves?!), and any other natural places I might ever think of. And because I am gifted to skin that can never be burnt (well maybe it can be but I've never been stuck under the sun that long to find out.)
Anyway, yaaaa. I'd love to go to the beach ever since I found out the beach is only like 15 minutes away by bus from the apartment.

2. Exercise More! :D

My dream would be to be awesome in boxing and yoga. Lol I know weird combination right? But yeah. I always dream to be the girl who boxes lol. I don't think I can. All i can is pick up boxes from the floor to the table. Boxing. Get it? HAHAH. Okay not funny. Anw yepp.

3. Be more organized! :)

Haha that's me chomping down on an ice cream tube. With chocolate on my face. How organized do you think I am? My room basically looks like the Titanic just hit the Tower of Babel and a clown threw up on it. And also, not just with my room and stuffs, but also with my study?
Yeah. Big stuff man.

4. Post Youtube videos more often?

As you know I've been posting videos on Youtube since last year I think?
I just wish to do it more often now. Singing is just something that I enjoy doing and I think Youtube is a fun thing to do in the midst of assignments and tests and all that crap.

Lets hope I do all these things by next year lol :D

I just realized that I hate mornings now.

My Morning-Waking-Up-Songs Compilation are:

1. Florence + The Machine - Dog Days Are Over

With lyrics like "Happiness hit her like a train on a track/Coming towards her stuck still no turning back"
and with a title "Dog Days Are Over", you know that this is a song to dance to in the morning.
I love that the song is all about immersing yourself in happiness when there is happiness around before the time is up. It's all about seizing the day sort of stuff. And what better way to immerse yourself in happiness than by dancing in the bathroom when this song is playing?
Not that I've done that before though :p

2. Eliza Doolittle - Skinny Genes

Wikipedia wrote that the song is all about "how one can dislike all the personality traits of a partner but still enjoy the sexual chemistry one shares with them"
And I would say that's not exactly a bad relationship to be in.
The tune is catchy, filled with whistles and drum beats that would make you WANT to go to uni.
Perfect waking up tune, I'd say.

3. The Noisettes - Wild Young Heart

The song is about just being young, wild, and foolish and loving the people you shouldn't, and leaving the ones you should love and everything else in between.
With lyrics like "Now that the city's awake, my heart aches/ Oh what a silly mistake it seems I've made/ You left your keys under my bed/ Left a thumpin in my head/ I would say sorry, what's the use"
It shows just how crazy we all are when love comes around and shit like that
Anyway yeah. This song always gets me up in the morning.

4. OneRepublic - Good Life

The title says it all. It's just about realizing how small are the things that are making you sad and how good your life is. It's a hopeful, and optimistic look of the future. Two things that I clearly am not (most of the times).
The song has lyrics like: "When you're happy like a fool/ Let it take you over/ When everything is out / You gotta take it in"

Well I didn't do much on January.
Me and Selly had this BBQ party called "Meet the Meat"
Pretty successful I guess?

I had dinner once in this Italian restaurant in Sans Souci
This is a big event. Only I didn't realize it that time.
Will tell you more later.

On February,
I went to Melbourne for the first time ever!

sexy me eating ice cream LOL hahahahaha.

Also, I found out that I was able to get into Actuarial Studies in Macquarie Uni.
:D

On March,
I used all my iMovie abilities to conjure up the soundtrack of our Easter play!
Which was well received (thankfully) by the audience :)

Also, I started using Skype more..
To talk with this guy

and..

And much more.
Lol.

On April,
I went to Blue Mountains for the first time! :D

...And a boy asked me to be his girlfriend
And I said yes! :O

the Italian restaurant thing on January was a big thing because,
that was the first time he came whenever we have an outing and stuff
and ~~it was like love at first sight for him~~
LOL He didn't actually say that, but I think that must have been the case

On May,
Nothing at all happened.
Okay, nothing important? happened.

On June,
I put all my photoshop skills to edit this photo we had
I liquified and vignette-d my way to the top HAHA.
Anyway, if anyone wants their photos to be retouched to look awesome

on July,
My parents came to Sydney

...And they saw my boyfriend for the first time.
Thankfully, they seemed to like him :D

And 4 days after my sister's birthday, was the boyfriend's 22nd birthday

My present to him was photos of him on a frame and 2 a shirt?
And we made him drunk that night
So he started wearing all the clothes that everyone gave him
And tie a big bow on his forehead
And started being super dumb ~~like he always do~~ lol
Anyway,

on August,
I had my 19th birthday!
Which was filled with drama like no other
So I don't really want to talk about it.
Cross my finger that this year's birthday will be better! :D

On September,
Nothing much happened.
Seriously, this year has been so bare compared to the previous one?

A friend of our passed away from an accident.
It's so sad to see such a bright girl to be taken away from us that early on.

Sad news aside
I got to see Paramore, Relient K and The Jury and The Saints!!!
Best 4 and a half hours of my life!!!!

Moving on..
On November,
I had finals, so nothing happened.
Oh, boyfriend left me in Sydney to go back to his hometown
2 days before my last final!!!!
Lol. So nice of him what? :P
Anyway, I forgive him, the guilt itself already kills him lol

On December,
Lots of things happened
Including:
The Christmas Dinner we had,
The airplane trip with Selly,
and also my first trip to Hong Kong
oh Right, and I CUT MY HAIR SHOOOORT!!!
Which many will say that it's a mistake
But I will stand firmly saying it's the awesomest thing I could ever do :D

For me, it was lying on my back at Boy Scout Camp, watching falling stars. And yellow leaves from the maple trees that lined our street. i am now in a state of where i don't know what i'm feeling.
it gets to the point that i cry deliberately to know from which eye it is dropping out of.
i've been feeling unlike myself a lot lately.
i dunno.
i feel like for the last few weeks, i haven't been living.
it's like watching a movie that you have no interest in at all,
and you're there, gripping the remote, trying hard not to push fast forward and
trying to concentrate to the movie, but the end is all you can think about.
feels like i'm just fast forwarding my life.
what i fear is that i won't really like the future.
and then what can i do?
they said that you can't change the past but you can always change the future.
i'm interested in my future but i have no aspiration whatsoever regarding my future.
it's like i just don't care.
i just want to get there.

but i have no idea where "there" is.

a lot of what i'm feeling is caused by feeling like i'm losing control.
"maybe we have to break everything to make something better of ourselves."
i feel as if i'm lost.
and i have no idea how to get back to the right way.
it's scary to now realize that i have no clue on where i'm going.
i guess i'm just terribly scared.
they said that most people will be as happy as they decide to be.

been such a long time since i last post something read-worthy in this blog.
been so caught up with school work that i don't even have enough time to breathe.

i am so worried for my actuarial studies progress :(
